*Responsibilities**:*
* Process and record accounts payable transactions, assigning appropriate account coding, invoice/ voucher numbers, descriptions, reconciling invoices and statements for accuracy/discrepancies
* Generate timely payment of invoices
* Process check requests
* Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
* Assist with other projects as needed
* Assist in month end closing
* Assist in annual audit by providing related documentation requested by auditor
*JOB REQUIREMENTS:*
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Must have strong work ethics
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
* Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
* Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
* Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately; such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
* Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
*Job Type*: Full Time (Monday - Friday, 8-5)

*Experience*: Microsoft Excel, Sage, Timberline or other accounting software, HCSS, Heavy Bid, Heavy Manager is a plus.
