Development Director

*Development Director* Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra Corpus Christi, TX 78401 *About the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra* The Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra is seeking to fill the position of Development Director.
The CCSO is governed by a 30-member Board of Directors and has a staff of 3 full-time and 3 part-time employees.
*Preferred Qualifications:* * A minimum of 2 years of development experience in a non-profit organization setting, and a high level of familiarity with non-profit tools, resources, and best practices.
* 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team.
* Valid driver’s license J*ob Role and Responsibilities:* The Development Director specifically handles the relationship with sponsors and members.
This includes: * Handle day to day management of donor affairs- thank you letters, donor receipts, communication, and engagement, identify and steward prospective donors.
Use research tools and donor base to build relationships.
* Seek out new sponsors and community partners on a local, regional, and statewide level * Solicit companies for ads for the Program Book * Report and work with Development Committee monthly * Track data in CRM software and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Audienceview, Excel) * Ensure that member and sponsor benefits are delivered in a timely and considerate way * Manage special events related to donors and sponsors, including the annual meeting * Co-create marketing related to development events * Work with Marketing Director to email newsletters and maintenance of email lists to members/sponsors * Oversee paper mail fundraising campaigns * Monthly coordination of calendar invites and documents for executive committee and board meetings * Serve as liaison between the CCSO and the Symphony Guild * Assist with grant writing and reporting * Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, especially during concert weekends and major annual events.
*Compensation: * $35,000 to $40,000 annual salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
