net/applynow/* POSITION SUMMARY: Works within various organizations to secure funding, sponsorships, establishing fundraising plans, maintaining donor relationships and securing new ones.
Will meet with important business partners and organize events and helps the organization’s public relations activities, promoting a positive company image and increased awareness of the organization’s mission.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Plans, Coordinates and executes strategies designed to increase public awareness of the organization’s objectives and to promote a positive company image; includes preparation of printed material, media coverage, press releases, etc.

Establishes and communicates internal procedures for responding to media inquiries for all locations 3.
Identify and build relationships with new donors while maintaining relationships with existing sponsors 4.
Researches, prepares and submits grants proposals to foundations and corporate sources as assigned; ensures compliance with grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate funders 5.
Processes donor contributions according to established guidelines; maintains current records in database, grant tracking and reporting; promptly resolves discrepancies; runs reports as needed 6.
Assists with special fundraising activities that increase the organization’s visibility within the community and with foundation and corporate funder audiences 7.
Create print marketing materials related to fundraising by working closely with the Marketing Department 8.
Overseeing the planning and organizing of fundraising events 9.
Performs other job duties as assigned *JOB QUALIFICATIONS:* This position requires a high level of professionalism, relationship building, confidentiality, communication, creativity, problem solving and planning and organization skills.
Requires excellent follow through and ability to work independently.
1.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications preferred 2.
Minimum three years’ experience in public affairs (public policy and/or media relations) 3.
Minimum three years of business fundraising, experience in event planning and working with volunteers is a plus 4.
Computer skills required including Microsoft Suite 5.
Good organization skills, detailed-oriented skills and outstanding customer service skills required 6.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required; must be able to write clear, structured, articulate, accurate and persuasive funding proposals 7.
Must have good interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with Others both internally and externally 8.
Ability to work under sometimes stressful conditions and deadlines 9.
Required to work some weekends, early mornings and evenings for special events and activities 10.
Current state driver’s license and proof of insurability *TRAVEL: * 1.
