*Responsibilities:*
1.
Purchase scrap metal for the OSW Division.
2.
Develop and maintain relationships with mills, producers, and suppliers in the region.
3.
Identify profitable brokerage opportunities.
4.
Gain deeper understanding of the market fundamentals in the area.
5.
Support internal and external customers.
6.
Communicate quality standards and resolve settlement disputes on a timely basis.
7.
Assist logistics team as needed in transportation of scrap.
8.
All other tasks as assigned.
*Requirements:*
1.
Working knowledge of ferrous scrap pricing, material identification, costs, operations, finance, and transportation.
2.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
3.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4.
Self-starter with ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment as well as possess strong negotiating and problem solving skills.
5.
Ability to effectively function both independently and as a member of a team, with a commitment to cooperation and collaboration across business platforms.
6.
Flexible schedule, as approximately 40-50% of travel is required.
7.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
8.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, JD Edwards, and SAI.
9.
College degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.
