Preschool Assistant Teacher

* General Duties: * Maintains confidentiality at all times.
* Adheres to school policies and procedures.
* Maintains good relationships with families, staff and the Board of Directors by promoting open lines of communication in all activities.
* Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
* Must be able to sit on the floor while giving lessons to children.
Assistant Teacher Duties: * Help prepare an environment in which the furnishings and materials are complete and correspond to the needs of the group.
* Share responsibility for the care and maintenance of classroom materials, maintain orderly environment, keeping it clean and in good condition.
* Participate in the curriculum development and implementation.
* Maintain responsibility for the safety and physical well being of the children at all times.
* Attend staff meetings and staff in-services.
* Attend and participate in excercises, school programs and parent teacher meetings.
The expectation exists that any employee of The Montessori School of Corpus Christi will accept reasonable tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the school.
Experience: School hours are 7:30 a.
m.
– 5:30 p.
m.
, Monday – Friday, year-round.
Work schedule to be mutually agreed upon by employer and employee.
