*Responsibilities*: * Work with the Program Registrar to check on each group one week prior to arrival to ensure all necessary paperwork is in order (Correct count of participants, male/female count, food/medical needs).
* Prepare paperwork for each group arrival.
(Make copies of Plan of the Day, Accounting Sheet, Wrist Bands, and Patches).
* Clean and maintain Camp LEX and staff spaces i.

, office, berthing, and restrooms.
* Meet each group at the base of the pier upon arrival.
* Give paperwork to the group leader to present to admissions and disburse among their group.
* Ensure berthing compartments are prepared prior to group arrival (turn on ACs / lights).
* Ensure each group is taken to assigned berthing compartments.
o Chow – Direct groups to Wardroom.
o Film – Make sure each group is in MEGA Theater at the allotted time.
o Flag Ceremony – Set up stage, chairs, projector, DVD player and break out flags; Breakdown and store chairs, projector, DVD player, and flags.
Must be able to present a ceremony for groups as large as 500 or more.

flag ceremony) * Ghost Stories – Conduct ghost stories during the overnight experience * Direct groups on either self-guided tours or scavenger hunts * Prepare coffee for groups as large as 450, clean and store coffee makers after use * Assist with Morning Colors * Assist with Muster out ceremony * Perform related duties as assigned *Knowledge Required*: High School Diploma.

Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of working with large groups of youth and adults while touring the ship.
Ability to relate to and interact with children and adults.
Ability to handle large numbers of guests.
Ability to handle multiple projects, Multi-tasking essential.
Ability to assist Team Leader and be part of a team.
Must present a neat, clean and “shipshape” appearance being that USS Lexington is a United States Navy Ship, and a museum with a military theme.
Must be totally familiar with the ship, tour routes, history, safety procedures, etc.
Must have basic computer skills and experience with software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
*Knowledge Preferred:* Experience working with children and young people in a similar educational setting.
Experience or knowledge of history, the workings of a ship at sea, World War II, United States Navy, or related topic areas.
Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher, or former Military.
*License/Certification Requirements*: Valid Texas driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, hot, cold and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the environment is moderate the occasionally loud.
