Job Summary:
Looking for an in-home independent caregiver to care for a client.
Client has some disabilities from a massive stroke (June 2023).
Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
* Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences
* Administer medications as prescribed by a healthcare professional, ensuring proper dosage and timing
* Assist clients with mobility and transferring, using mobility aids as required
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients through engaging in conversations, reading, or accompanying them on outings
* Be a pleasant and supportive companion
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and tidy living environment
* Safely transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities using your own vehicle or as agreed upon with the client
* Maintain detailed records of care provided, including medication logs, daily activities, and any changes in the client's condition
* Regularly communicate with client, and daughter to ensure the client's well-being and to report any concerns or changes in their condition
* Be prepared to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations, following established protocols
* Hours may vary for day and night shift
* Pay will range between $15-$18 depending on experience
Requirements and Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Demonstrated empathy and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
* Punctuality and dependability are crucial for this role, as clients rely on your assistance
* Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for documenting care and communicating with client and daughter
* Has a sense of humor and appreciates a good laugh
* Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but we also welcome individuals who are new to the field and willing to undergo training
* If transportation of clients is part of the role, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and up to date vehicle registration and insurance are required
* Successful completion of a background check and reference checks may be necessary
* The ability to lift, bend, and assist client with mobility is required
* It is recommended, but not always mandatory, to have current First Aid and CPR certifications

* 12 hour shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
* Night shift
* On call
* Rotating weekends
* Weekends as needed
