For Those Considering a 4BT/6BT Conversion.
I pulled a Cummins 4BT from a Grumman Bread Truck.
The truck had a GM transmission.
The adapter connects the 4BT/6BT to a GM transmission (4L60E, 4L80E, 700R4, and the like.
) I originally was going to use this set up in a 4BT swap then decided to purchase another adapter that would allow the engine to stand straight up.
This adapter allowed for a 10-degree tilt to allow the engine to fit into the bread truck it came out of.
I have a fresh rebuilt (by Corpus Christi Battery) starter and an improved wave ring.
I spent $200.
00 rebuilding the starter and $600.
00 for the new and $600.
00 for the wave ring.
I am also throwing in the original motor mounts that were attached to the frame of the bread truck (Chevy frame) and the mounts that were attached to the engine.
The combination puts the engine at the 10-degree tilt.
I am asking what I have invested starter and wave ring.
This is a package that comes with the hub, flex plate, housing, starter, engine/ frame mounts, and improved wave ring.
